Presque Isle County is a four season wonderland with more
than 300 miles of streams, nearly 100 inland lakes, and 72 miles of
beautiful Lake Huron shoreline set in the northeast corner of Michigan's
Lower Peninsula. The county covers more than 400,000 acres, a quarter of
which are public lands.
The county offers a four season schedule of events including
camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hiking, and
just plain relaxing on the miles of clean, sandy beaches. The county is rich
in maritime history as well, with three lighthouses and two active Great
Lakes shipping ports.
