Park Information:
Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No
reservations. There are 15 sites for tent or small trailers use. Hike to
scenic Ocqueoc Falls along the Bicentennial Pathway or take advantage of good
steelhead and trout fishing from the campground. Rustic campground includes
vault toilets and potable water from well hand pump.
- Designated Watchable Wildlife Site
Tomahawk Creek Flooding provides excellent viewing of nesting loons in June as
well as opportunity to see ospreys, bald eagles, and other wetlands birds and
wildlife (25 miles SE off M-33).
- Fishing
Ocqueoc River (on site): Brown Trout, Steelhead (Spring & Fall). Ocqueoc Lake
(8 miles NW): Panfish, Trout. Lake Huron (8 miles North, Hammond Bay): Walleye, Salmon, Trout, Bass.
- Hiking
State Forest Pathways: Ocqueoc Falls Bicentennial Pathway (on site): 6 miles, 3
loops. Beautiful view of Ocqueoc Falls. Hike, bike.
- Mountain Biking
