Welcome to Missaukee County
|
Missaukee County was named after a prominent Indian Chief, Nesaukee,
which means: "Large Mouth of the River."
Missaukee County is probably best
known for being Michigan’s headquarters for Christmas trees. Just pick almost
any road, and you’re bound to see rows and rows of them.
Missaukee County is also a great
vacation spot, and home to Lake Missaukee, a true inland lake jewel. The
Muskegon River also winds its way through the pristine countryside of Enterprise
and Holland Townships. And the fishing’s great! |
