Park Information:
  • Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations. There are 9 sites for tent and small trailer use. Located along the Baldwin River with good trout fishing. Access to Pine Forest Pathway from campground offers opportunity for hiking and mountain biking. Rustic campground includes vault toilets and potable water from well hand pump.
  • Designated Watchable Wildlife Site
    The wooded area around Leverentz Lakes is home to numerous song birds and small woodland mammals. The lakes, themselves, offer good pan fishing while the Pere Marquette River supports brown and rainbow trout.

    Baldwin River (on site): Brown/Rainbow Trout.
    Leverentz Lakes (1/2 mile East): Perch, Bluegill.
    Pere Marquette River (5 miles South): Brown/Rainbow Trout, Salmon.
     
  • Hiking
    Pine Forest (on site): 0 .8 miles of flat terrain.
    Sheep Ranch (1/2 mile East): 4.5 miles of rolling terrain. Hike and mountain bike.
     
  • Mountain Biking
    Pine Forest (on site): 0 .8 miles of flat terrain.
     
  • Boating Access Site/Launch - Access for boating and fishing.
    Baldwin River access at Aster Road (4 miles SW) and Town Line Bridge (2.5 miles NE). Ramp access to Leverentz Lake at Leverentz Lakes State Forest Campground (1/2 mile East).

    Tin Cup Springs (9 miles NE): 21 miles of motorcycle trail and 26 miles full-sized vehicle ORV route.
    Little Manistee (11 miles North): 46 miles of motorcycle trail and 47 miles of full-sized vehicle ORV route.
    Little O/ Big O (4 miles NW): 40+ miles of motorcycle trail and 30 miles of cycle/ATV trail (US Forest Service Trails).
